To renew your registration you may need to get a Pre Purchase Inspection and Rego Checks. This is where an authorized station checks and records a safety report on behalf of the Roads & Maritime Services. The report is electronically sent to confirm the car is road worthy.
The Roads & Maritime Services have given road users an option to renew their registration for 6 months if needed. Please note however, that you will only need to get a rego check once a year.
Most vehicles more than 5 years old must pass a yearly safety check.
Please note the sale price on rego checks does not apply to LPG cars and trucks.
